Thanks @marionnewlevant it looks really well done. Just so I'm clear, under what circumstances would we be rotating these directories? It only makes sense if we do start deleting Assets, etc. via rsync during those backups, yes? |

It makes sense if the users have cleaned things up in their asset source - removed stuff they aren't using, renamed stuff, etc. Made less of a mess of their assets. And would like to preserve that cleaned up state in the case of restoring from a catastrophy. I plan to run it once a month, and figure that if something has been gone for 2 months, they really do want it gone, and would rather it not come back in some future restore. |
