The compact block filter index is 12GB on disk and over the wire. If a client knows for certain that they will only scan for taproot outputs (e.g. silent payments), this may be reduced significantly. This patchset introduces the typical golomb coded set compact sketch, but does so for only P2TR keys. The index size is reduced significantly, down to 450Mb, allowing for lower bandwidth clients to leverage the protocol.
