Changes for Website and TOPS—

At the main website: https://anlab.ucdavis.edu/ under Lab Information, there is a menu choice called “Testing Services”
This leads to “Methods of Analysis”
https://anlaborders.ucdavis.edu/methods-of-analysis

On TOPS (anlaborders.ucdavis.edu), we want “Methods of Analysis” changed to be “Testing Services” (to match what is on the main site).

Under that page, https://anlaborders.ucdavis.edu/methods-of-analysis
We need the “Drying and Grinding” section removed.

Then, the order of the testing services needs to be rearranged with some fixing of the notes:

  • Water Wastewater (the 800s)
Remove notes about sample amount & water preparation

  • Soil Methods (200s, 300s, 400s)
Remove notes about sample amount & soil preparation

Leave the two sentences under “Notes:”

  • Manure and Compost Methods (700s)
Remove notes about sample amounts and preparation

  • Plant Methods (500s)
Remove notes about sample amount, preparation, and containers.

  • Feed Methods (600s)
Remove notes about sample amount, preparation, and grind.

  • It would be nice to have a CAPTCHA for when the client submits an email from the website through the Contact Us Form: https://anlab.ucdavis.edu/contact

  • We are also thinking of a check box on the Work Order Form if the Client wants us to include a Chain of Custody (CoC). (The client would need to provide their own CoC with their order when they submit the samples.) This would trigger:
    - a note on the Order Form.
    - a flag so that at Report Time (Finalizing), TOPS would ask: Is CoC attached?”
And when Receiving sees this note, they would assign the no-cost CoC test code.

  • How does TOPS store the monetary value of each work order?
Can we access the value of each as well as the adjusted amount & adjusted comment?
Can this be pulled into a list by date range?

  • Is it possible to check if the work order is finished and has had an email sent?

    • Finished — that is, within LabWorks the “()” acode has a value (initials) in it.
    • Email sent — view TOPS record to see if there is an email record
Then, if there is one without the other, there should be a flag set and an alert.
  • Start a discussion about how the Work Requestion Form looks and where things are placed. (This is the sheet that the client prints out to send with their samples.)
