Update to newer upstream version, currently 2.2.1 (2.1.3 is several years old)

Any chance to get an update to latest stable of LwIP and/or master branch?

The necessary changes are likely the ones I made here:

That is currently a 2.2.1 plus some cherry picked bugfixes from master.

I would appreciate if you made both the production and the master available.

Improvements from 2.1.3 to 2.2.1: Memory handling seems to have gotten better, no frequent messages about double free and does not seem to leak memory like 2.1.3.

As 2.2.1 fixes bugs present in 2.1.3 this is BUG and not enhancement.

As habazut has stated, the DCC-EX team are encountering bugs in 2.1.3 that are resolved in 2.2.1. We would suggest anyone using the STM32Ethernet library would immediately benefit as our use cases are neither extreme nor unusual.
