CRLF line endings in 3.4.1 release tarball

The release tarball for 3.4.1, file oci8-3.4.1.tgz, contains most files with CRLF line ending (DOS / Windows). Also for instance the oci8.ini file.
While this is often no functional problem, it might have been unintended, since the source tarball and the 3.4(.0) release tarballs contain files with unix line endings.

Is there a reason the CRLF line ending is an issue. Earlier versions were zipped on non-Windows machines and the latest version was done on a Windows machine.

I did not experience a functional problem. But depending on the tools people use, it can be annoying. Other projects I know take care to bundle textual files in the tarballs with Unix line endings and in the zip files with CRLF by running conversion tools before packaging. So no issue but an enhancement.

@rainerjung Sure noted. I have added the required the .gitattributes file to ensure that we have Unix line endings in the next version.
