In an important way yes. I need to restrict new registrations to users with an email address from their non-profit organization.

A clear and concise description of what you want to happen.
As I mentioned above I need/want to allow new registrations to users with a particular email domain, e.g. @domain.org. This feature was in prior Nextcloud installations available and that's a feature that was very important to my service.
Describe alternatives you've considered
A clear and concise description of any alternative solutions or features you've considered.
Restriction to certain IP address is not feasible option for me, and honestly does not make a lot of sense to me. Also, manually entering/registering users is time consuming and not really a good solution, good practice.

Please seriously consider adding this option, as I said, it used to be available and worked very well for my Nextcloud operation/services.
