PDB error spamming output of monitor-curses.py

Hi

as per the title, I get this warning a lot:

WARNING: pdb failed [PDB database not available: database download from player 1 failed: NFS call failed: err_stale]

Im not sure how important it is because everything 'seems' to be running just fine, is there any way to silence the error?

Hey, don't know if you fixed your issue already, but will answer anyway. This sounds like a network issue or something else very low-level. Which player model are you using? NFS calls should succeed in any case, but maybe we should add some rate-limit there to reduce spam.

The software probably falls back to the more risky DBClient protocol. You can disable NFS PDB loading by setting prodj.data.pdb_enabled to false (see https://github.com/flesniak/python-prodj-link/blob/d4b408cced88613986bde2346be2b70236431b3e/monitor-qt.py#L43C1-L43C23).

monitor-curses.py is a very old piece of code and I haven't taken care of it in a long time. Does the issue also appear with monitor-qt.py?
