[Bug]: Claiming that the version is outdated - though it is not

What happened?

I tried to start MakeMKV - but it abort with the message "version too old" (see below). But I have the latest version installed. Happened on Ubuntu Linux.

What should have happened?

Well, I expected the Application to start without complaining and aborting.

Not a bug, the beta key expired August 1st and the developer has not since released a new one. I suggest you refer to my comment on a reddit thread for the solution until the dev releases an updated key. The solution below is quite simple and retains full functionality of the application. Ensure you use the raw binaries rather than the snap package as it needs to directly read system time in order to bypass the authentication.
