Description
I was doing some peer instruction today using a course based on fcla-proteus. I commented to my students that sometimes the numbers of those voting seems to tick up even after the 5 second countdown, something that I had noticed before in a dmoi-4 based course as well but that you thought you had fixed.
My students then quite helpfully told me that if they reload their page after the vote has closed, they can still register their vote or change their vote if they had already voted. Reloading the page once is enough to enable them to change their vote over and over again. They proceeded to demonstrate this as I was displaying the graph after the close of the second vote: originally 100% had the correct response after the second vote, but as we talked the graph showed more and more wrong answers and fewer correct answers, and the wrong answers shifted around the possible responses.
This was all fun and games for us, since I use peer instruction for discussion prompting and engagement in a small class, but I thought it was worth a report. I'm pretty sure Rob hardcodes the date in the frontmatter and so I can't tell when it was last built; maybe this really has been fixed but Rob's book needs to be rebuilt for the fix to take effect?
