GPU acceleration on iMX8MM

Is anyone having GPU support working on iMX8MM with chromium 138 or later versions?
I'm trying to make it work but i'm a bit lost. It used to work with --use-gl=egl but i see in the recipes the egl support now translates to using --use-angle=gles-egl instead which does not seem to work in my case. 
What is the correct why to run it? Are we forced to use angle now?
